Issey Miyake will launch a pair of limited edition versions of L’Eau d’Issey this March. The bottles in raw beech wood harvested from sustainably managed forests have gone under iron brushes to reveal the ridges, like driftwood. The wood is then polished, coated in a colored patina and varnished.
The fragrance L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme stays the same. Created by
Jacques Cavallier in 1994, L'Eau d'Issey for Men is a woody aquatic fragrance with yuzu as in top notes, along with notes of bergamot, lemon and tarragon. A middle note is spicy and woody: nutmeg and water lily are an exciting and unexpected accord in this composition. An end note carries an intense woody scent which is sharp and enriched with tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and musk.
The scent for women has changed. The Japanese designer proposes a new olfactive variation called L’Eau d’Issey ‘Fleur de Bois’. Created by Jacques Cavallier, the fragrance blends mimosa, rose, freesia, fruity notes, Virginia cedar, amber and musk.
