Duckie Brown’s Daniel Silver and Steven Cox explores exposure and vulnerability in their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.
Gauzy T-shirts and sheer silk shirts, printed with vertical stripes and oversize plaids, lent a leisurely sensuality to the airy collection. Light tweeds and flaxen fabrics, made into relaxed blazers and safari jackets, served as the counterpoint to the gossamer tops, while frontal pleating and angled side seams pumped volume into chic shorts.
Flimsy, ruched and high-waisted swimsuits were obviously intended to provoke. We all felt that the show was a bit [shall we say?] undermerchandised. Nonetheless, we appreciate that Silver & Cox ventured out of their comfort zone and delivered on a very different [unusual?] collection.
p.s. Nice hats.
